About me
Laura Guidry-Grimes, PhD, HEC-C is Associate Staff Ethicist at Cleveland Clinic, and she has faculty appointments in the Department of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Department of Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She provides ethics consultation and support for main campus as well as regional hospitals and clinics in northeast Ohio. Her research focuses on the nature of vulnerability in clinical spaces, disability bioethics, and psychiatric ethics. Her work has been published in Hastings Center Report, Nursing Ethics, AMA Journal of Ethics, The Journal of Clinical Ethics, and Journal of Medical Ethics, among other venues. She co-authored Basics of Bioethics, Fourth Edition with Robert M. Veatch (Routledge, 2020).
