About me
Peggy is an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 33 years of experience, most of which has been dedicated to dementia care. She's had the privilege of working with people living with dementia in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and in the home. Peggy’s journey has also included caring for her own mom and aunt, both of whom lived with dementia, giving her a personal understanding of the challenges and rewards of caregiving. Now in an exciting new chapter, Peggy is exploring how to make a difference outside of traditional healthcare roles. She’s been a passionate advocate for advance care planning, helping families navigate these important conversations with clarity, compassion, and dignity. Driven by her commitment to improving the wellbeing of people with dementia and their families, Peggy focuses on innovative, person-centered strategies and holistic support. She loves empowering families and healthcare providers to approach dementia care with new perspectives and approaches. When she’s not working, Peggy enjoys spending time with her husband James, their three wonderful stepdaughters—Jamie, Kylee, and Sarah—and their two dogs, Sampson and Delilah. She’s also exploring new passions, including learning to play the guitar and having fun doing creative art projects.
